Body of pregnant woman found near Kut

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: Police forces on Friday found an unknown body of a pregnant woman near the city of Kut , a security source said. “Policemen found the unknown body in al-Ahrar district in western Kut,” the source told IraqiNews.com, noting that the body bore signs of gunshot wounds. “The body was sent to the forensic medicine department at al-Zahraa hospital in Kut,” he added. A Shiite province, Wassit, 180 km south of Baghdad , is in the east of the country. Its name comes from the Arabic word meaning “middle,” as it lies along the Tigris about midway between Baghdad and Basra . Its major cities include the capital, al-Kut, and al-Hayy.
