15 arrested in – around Baghdad – MNF

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Multi-National Force (MNF) in Iraq said on Monday that it detained four wanted persons and 11 suspects during a search raid in and around the capital Baghdad. “Coalition forces arrested a man suspected of having links with prominent leaders in al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) network during an operation on Sunday,” the MNF said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com. In a separate operation on Monday, the MNF troops captured a wanted man “suspected of having links with foreign terrorists and AQI leaders in the area,” adding “six suspects others were detained in the operation”. “In Baghdad on Monday, another wanted person and three others suspected of links with AQI leaders were arrested,” the statement added. In the district of al-Saadiya, 112 km northeast of Baghdad, a wanted man “who worked as messenger for top AQI leaders” was captured along with two suspects others, it read. AmR (P) 1
