Ammo found in north of Amara

MISSAN / IraqiNews.com: Policemen found an amount of ammunition in the north of Amara city, a senior police source said on Tuesday. “Police forces managed to seize different amounts of explosives and ammunition in Kamiet region in north of Amara,” Colonel Sadeq Abdul Azim al-Hulw told IraqiNews.com, noting that the forces found five bombs, 65 mortar shells and a number of hand grenades. Missan is a Shiite province. Its capital city is al-Amara. Sitting on the Tigris River, Amara lies 390 km south of Baghdad. Missan, in the east of the country, bordering Iran, is home to many marsh Arabs.   SH (P)/SR 1
