Too many border outlets makes export monitoring difficult

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The chairman of the Central Agency for Standardization and Qualitative Control on Thursday said that the existence of too many border outlets with neighboring countries makes it difficult to control the flow of exports into the country. “The agency’s offices and the laboratories of the Ministry of Health and the Radiation Department are unable to exercise full control over exported goods and services because of the existence of 22 border outlets,” Saad Abdelwahhab said during a Baghdad-based press conference. The agency has plans to set up a number of laboratories in Iraqi provinces that have border outlets, the official said. SS (P)/SR 1
