Border authorities scrap tons of Iranian expired food in past 9 months-official

SULAIMANIYA-IraqiNews.com: Iraqi border department on Sunday it halted entrance of 792 tons of expired foodstuffs coming from Iran in the past nine months. “About 792 tons of expired foodstuffs coming from Iran were confiscated in Barweezkhan border crossing, north-east Khanaqin town, from January to September this year,” Husam Ibrahim, food border official, told IraqiNews.com. “Samples of food were sent to Kalar town to undergo laboratory tests,” he added.
