Thi-Qar hosts agro-conference

THI-QAR / IraqiNews.com: The Thi-Qar agricultural committee on Sunday held its 1 st conference to discuss agricultural developments in the province and relevant future plans, according to Chairman Muhammad al-Bahadli. “This conference, held under the rubrics ‘From Farmer To Farmer,’ is convened to discuss the agricultural scene in the province to come up with outcome serving the peasants in the province,” Bahadli told IraqiNews.com. The number of farmer associations in the province is 90, comprising 1,000 peasants from all districts in the province. Thi-Qar, whose capital city is al-Nassiriya, lies 380 km south of Baghdad.
