3rd Baghdad blast leaves civilian killed, 7 wounded

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: One civilian man was killed and seven others wounded in a third blast that rocked the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Monday, police said. “An improvised explosive device planted inside a civilian vehicle went off today near al-Khilani square, central Baghdad, leaving one civilian man killed and seven others wounded,” a security source told IraqiNews.com. “The explosion also caused severe damage to the vehicle,” the source said, adding security forces sealed off the blast scene and rushed the wounded to a nearby hospital. Earlier in the day, four civilians were wounded in an IED attack near al-Nahda area, eastern Baghdad. Also in eastern Baghdad earlier Monday, three civilians were killed and five others wounded when an IED went off near a passenger vehicle in al-Amin area. AmR (P) 1
