4 civilians wounded in Monday’s 2nd Baghdad blast

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Four civilians were wounded on Monday when an improvised explosive device (IED), the second of its kind today in the Iraqi capital, went off in eastern Baghdad, an Iraqi police source said. “An IED planted by unidentified gunmen on the main road near al-Nahda area, eastern Baghdad, went off today, leaving four persons injured,” the source told IraqiNews.com. “Security forces sealed off the explosion scene and rushed the wounded to the nearby al-Kindi Hospital,” the source added. Earlier on Monday, an IED went off in a civilian passenger vehicle in al-Amin area, also eastern Baghdad, killing three people and wounding five others. AmR (P) 1
