European delegation in Nassiriya for housing project

THI-QAR / IraqiNews.com: A delegation representing a number of foreign companies has arrived in the city of al-Nassiriya on Friday for negotiations over the construction of developed housing compounds, a source from Thi-Qar’s investment authority said. “Negotiations are underway with a German delegation representing a European group to sign a final agreement on a mechanism to build more than 10,000 housing units in the province in accordance with up-to-date specifications,” Muhammad al-Hindawi, the director of the Thi-Qar Investment Authority’s Marketing & Media Department, told IraqiNews.com. This European group had laid in September 2008 the foundation stone for the construction of six apartment compounds in Thi-Qar, or 15 housing units, to be finalized in 18 months.
