Kurdish official rules out Kurdish state

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: The minister of extra-regional affairs in the Kurdistan Regional Government Kurdistan RegionG) on Sunday said that it is impossible to separate the Kurdistan region from Iraq, ruling out the possibility of establishing a Kurdish state. “It is impossible to have a Kurdish state,” Mohammed Ihsan, who also chairs the committee on Article 140 in the region, told reporters during his visit to Karbala city today. “Iraqis in Karbala are closer to us (Iraq’s Kurds) than Kurds in Turkey,” the minister noted.
