Oil facilities chief guard survives attempt

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: The chief of the oil facilities protection force survived an attempt on his life on Monday by a car bomb attack in Baaquba which left one of his guards killed and nine others wounded, a security source in Diala said. “A suicide bomber blew up his explosive vehicle today targeting Col. Jassem al-Rubaie while he was stepping out of the provincial council building in central Baaquba,” the source told IraqiNews.com. “Rubaie was escaped unscathed in the attack that left one of his guards killed and nine others, including three policemen, wounded,” the source said.
