Mashtal blast casualties rise to 27

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Casualties from Tuesday’s earlier roadside bomb attack at al-Mashatl neighborhood, southeastern Baghdad, rose to seven deaths and 20 others injured, according to an Iraqi police source. “The incident took place at a parking lot, and most of the casualties are civilians,” the source told IraqiNews.com . Earlier in the day police said the explosive attack left five civilians killed and 10 others wounded. “An IED was planted by unidentified gunmen near a civilian vehicle parked in a lot in the area of al-Mashtal, southeastern Baghdad,” the source told IraqiNews.com. “Several parked vehicles were damaged in the blast,” the source added.
