$2.6 million disappears in Diala

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Head of the agricultural committee of Diala provincial council on Wednesday said that around $2.6 million have disappeared from Diala’s agricultural directorate, and that there is an exaggeration in the cost of agricultural projects. “Exaggeration include the costs of buying irrigation systems,” Abduljabbar al-Khazraji of the Iraqi Islamic Party (IIP) told IraqiNews.com. “The registered cost for one irrigation system at the directorate is $5.4 million, while its practical price in local market is 50 percent of that,” he said.
