3 services projects on the way in Missan

MISSAN / IraqiNews.com: A number of local companies have been assigned to implement three services projects at a cost of 1.5 billion Iraqi dinars in Missan province. “Today, the committee supervising the distribution of Missan’s donation referred three services projects to local companies,” the head of the roads and bridges department in the province, Mohammed Jaseb, told IraqiNews.com. The projects include the construction of a pedestrian bridge connecting the two banks of the Tigris River in Amara city at a cost of ID820 million and another in al-Kahlaa district at a cost of ID340 million, Jaseb explained. The Iraqi government has allocated an emergency donation of $100 million to Missan in the aftermath of wide-scale security operations in the province. Missan is a Shiite province. Its capital city is al-Amara. Sitting on the Tigris River, Amara lies 390 km south of Baghdad. Missan, in the east of the country, bordering Iran, is home to many marsh Arabs. SS (P) 1
