Weapons cache found in western Baghdad

Iraq-Depot BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi and U.S. forces on Monday found a weapons cache in a deserted house in al-Mansour neighborhood in western Baghdad, the Multinational Forces said. “Iraqi Army and Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldiers seized weapons caches in the Mansour district of Baghdad Nov 9,” said the MNF in a statement received by IraqiNews.com. “Soldier serving with Battery B, 4th Battalion, 42nd Regiment Field Artillery, attached to 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), discovered a cache at approximately 11:15 a.m,” it added. “The munitions included an incomplete improvised explosive device consisting of a black can with 10 pounds of homemade explosives, two AK-47s, a rocket-propelled grenade, a PKC rifle, seven 82 mm high-explosive mortars and an 82 mm white phosphorous mortar,” it said.
