Tangible improvement in Iraq’s food security – WFP

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The United Nations (UN) World Food Program (WFP) on Wednesday said that there is a tangible improvement in Iraq’s food security. “Results achieved by a combined evaluation that was conducted by the Iraqi government and WFP show that number of people who suffer shortage in food in Iraq has been notably reduced,” said a report issued by the WFP. “There is a recognizable improvement in the issue of food security in Iraq, as the number of people who suffer from a shortage in food in Iraq has been reduced from around 4 million in 2005, to only 930 thousand last year,” it added.
