Amending constitution according to certain mechanisms – PM

Wassit-Bridge BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Premier Nouri al-Maliki on Thursday said that amending the constitution is not a right limited to a certain side, but there are certain mechanisms to achieve this issue, according to a release issued by the cabinet. “We demanded that the constitution be amended to make it satisfactory for all,” the release that was received by IraqiNews.com quoted al-Maliki as saying. “The opposition that we have faced in this regard is something normal,” he said. “Amending the constitution is neither my nor the Kurdistan region’s right, but there are certain mechanisms to achieve this issue,” he added.
