7 wounded in Baghdad blast

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Seven people were wounded when an improvised explosive device (IED) went off in the northwestern Baghdad area of al-Atifiya on Saturday, police said. “An IED went off at a crossroad in al-Atifiya on Saturday when a police patrol was passing by, leaving seven, including three patrolmen, wounded,” an Iraqi police source told IraqiNews.com. “The explosion caused severe damage to the patrol vehicle,” the source added.
