Seminar on epidemics in Arbil

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: A two-week medical seminar on epidemic diseases was opened on Saturday in the attendance of a number of physicians in the Iraqi Kurdistan region and other Iraqi provinces. Fifteen physicians attended the seminar that was held by the Iraqi health ministry in association with the health ministry in the Iraqi Kurdistan region and the World Health Organization. Omar Makki, an official in the WHO, said that light would be shed on the role played by the region’s health ministry, which in less than a month’s time managed, in cooperation with the authorities concerned, to control anthrax in Aqra district, Duhuk province.
