Arms limited to security forces only – BOC

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The spokesperson for Baghdad’s Operations Command (BOC) on Monday said that security forces are the only side authorized to carry guns, and that any armed force outside the governmental frame are not allowed. “Security forces are responsible for imposing security in the country,” General Qassim Atta said in a press conference in Baghdad. He revealed that there is a mutual plan, between Baghdad Mayoralty and traffic police directorate, “to remove concrete blocks from Baghdad’s streets, relying on security circumstances on the ground.” MH (P)/SR 1
