Subsidized fodder distributed in Missan

MISSAN / IraqiNews.com: The agricultural department in Missan province has provided subsidized fodder for local peasants practicing animal husbandry, which has recently been hit by a spell of drought. “A total of 3,600 tons of bran have been provided for buffalo breeders, in addition to 6,800 tons of barley fodder for sheep breeders,” a media official from the department, Nusseir Hani, told IraqiNews.com. Missan is a Shiite province. Its capital city is al-Amara. Sitting on the Tigris River, Amara lies 390 km south of Baghdad. Missan, in the east of the country, bordering Iran, is home to many marsh Arabs. SS (P) 1
