9 wounded in 2 blasts in central Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Nine people were wounded on Sunday when two improvised explosives devices went off separately in central Baghdad, an Iraqi police source said. “The first IED went off on Sunday evening on al-Nidal street, near the Musa Ibn Nusseir fuel station, leaving five people wounded,” the source told IraqiNews.com. “In another incident, a second IED targeted the vehicle of Col. Dhafir Abdelmajid, the embassies police director, in al-Masbah intersection in al-Karada area, central Baghdad,” the source added. “Abdelmajid was not inside his vehicle during the time of the explosion, which left four civilians wounded,” he said.
