Key AQI leader in Diala arrested

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: A leading member of al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI) was arrested in the province of Diala, the city’s police chief said on Tuesday. “An inmate of the Basra-based Bocca prison was incognito. Investigations revealed that the man turned out to be a prominent leader of al-Qaeda network of the name Hussein Latif, alias Abu Shakhsa,” Maj. General Abdelhussein al-Shimari told IraqiNews.com. “Abu Shakhsa is involved in the killing of 16 policemen in Diala. Some 56 charges are pressed against him,” he added.
