THI-QAR / IraqiNews.com: Police forces arrested five wanted men in separate areas of Thi-Qar, the media spokesman for the Thi-Qar police department said. “The forces arrested three wanted men in al-Jabayesh and al-Fuhoud districts in eastern Thi-Qar,” Major Nasser al-Majedi told IraqiNews.com. “Two wanted men were also captured in central Nassiriya,” he added. Thi-Qar, 380 km south of Baghdad, has an area of 12,900 square kilometers (4,980.7 sq mi). In 2003 the estimated population of the governorate was 1,454,200 people.
