Amman hosts conf. on electricity in Iraq

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: An investment conference that aims to boost electricity in Iraq opened today in the Jordanian capital Amman with the participation of several companies and businessmen. The conference highlighted the efforts made by the Iraqi government to open the power generating sector to private investment. The conference, organized by the Ministry of Electricity in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), was inaugurated by Vice Premier Rafi al-Issawi and attended by senior Iraqi officials.
