President, U.S. envoys take up stronger relations

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal al-Talabani met with the former U.S. ambassador to Iraq, Zalmay Khalilzad, and the current envoy, Ryan Crocker, to discuss means of bolstering relations between the two countries, according to a presidential statement. “On Sunday evening, Talabani received in his Baghdad-based residence Khalilzad and Crocker to tackled means of boosting the political process in Iraq…,” read a presidential statement that was received by IraqiNews.com. The meeting was attended by Vice Premier Barham Ahmed Saleh; the head of the Kurdistan Alliance (KA), Fouad Massoum; the minister of water resources, Lateef Rasheed; and a public relations official in the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK).
