1st Islamic Kurdish satellite channel launched

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The first Islamic Kurdish satellite channel has been launched from the northern Iraqi city of Sulaimaniya. “Bayam, which means ‘message’ in English, is the first Islamic Kurdish satellite channel and is run by the Islamic Group of Kurdistan, led by Sheikh Ali Bapir,” according to a statement released by the channel and received by IraqiNews.com. On this occasion, a ceremony was held at the headquarters of the channel in Sulaimaniya city with the participation of a large number of media personnel, party representatives, university professors and intellectuals, the statement noted.
