8 Iraqi equestrians in int’l tournament in Oman in 2009

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Equestrian Sports Federation said on Friday that it approved the participation of eight Iraqi athletes in an international tournament to be hosted early next year in the Sultanate of Oman, where 12 Arab and Asian teams will take part. “The approval to participate in the competitions, to take place on February 6-12, 2009, came in response to an invitation the federation has received from its Omani counterpart,” Haider Hussein al-Djemeili, the Iraqi federation chief, told IraqiNews.com.
