BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A number of Iraqi parliamentarians have gone back on their calls for Speaker Mahmoud al-Mashhadani’s resignation, according to a member of parliament from the United Iraqi Alliance (UIA). “New developments have occurred after parliamentarians have failed to reach a solution that is acceptable to all parties,” Abdelhadi al-Hassani told IraqiNews.com. Hassani did not reveal the names of those parliamentarians or their blocs. Mashhadani is a member of the National Dialogue Council, led by Sheikh Khalaf al-Alyan, which is one of the components of the Sunni Iraqi Accord Front (IAF). SS (P) 1
