VP calls on Lebanon to enter Iraqi market

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi on Tuesday called on Lebanese investors to reconsider the Iraqi market following the recent security improvements in the country, according to a release issued by his office. “It is necessary to re-activate Iraqi-Lebanese trade relations,” the release that was received by IraqiNews.com quoted Hashemi as saying during a press conference with the Lebanese Premier in Beirut. “The two countries’ ministers of finance, economy, and transport will meet to activate mutual economic agreements,” he added. “There is a mutual intention to develop the two countries’ relations in all fields, but the Lebanese side should take the initiative,” he noted.
