Electricity ministry seeks Russian support to boost productivity

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Ministry of Electricity has asked Russia to contribute to the development of power stations in the country, according to an official source. “The minister of electricity, Kareem Waheed, has called on the Russian ambassador in Baghdad to provide assistance for the development of the Beiji thermal station and al-Nassiriya station,” a media spokesperson for the ministry, Aziz Sultan, told IraqiNews.com. “The minister has invited the Russian minister of energy to visit Baghdad,” Sultan noted.
