Mobile operators fined for “bad” service

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A ministerial committee has imposed fines on some mobile phone companies operating in Iraq for the “poor” service levels they deliver to their clients. “Today, the minister of finance met with the committee, which has been set up in accordance with instructions from the cabinet. The parties convened have agreed to impose a $9 million fine on Zain Iraq and a $300,000 fine on Asiacell,” according to a statement released by the Iraqi Ministry of Finance and received by IraqiNews.com.
