Talabani, Allawi discuss local developments

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani on Monday met with former Prime Minister Iyad Allawi and his accompanying delegation, a presidential statement said. “Talabani and Allawi discussed in the meeting, attended by Deputy Prime Minister Burham Saleh, a number of important issues concerning the Iraqi status and the president’s opinion on them,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com. “Allawi and the accompanying delegation expressed appreciation to president Talabani and is continued efforts in patching up differences and maintaining Iraq’s national unity,” it added.   SH (P)/SR 1
