Sewage project in Wassit

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: A local company on Tuesday began implementing a sewage project at a total cost of $38.250 million, the media director of Wassit said. “A local company started implementing a sewage project in al-Aziziya district in north of Kut,” Majid al-Anabi told IraqiNews.com. “The project will be implemented in 30 months within the Municipalities Ministry’s projects,” he added. A Shiite province, Wassit, 180 km south of Baghdad, is in the east of the country. Its name comes from the Arabic word meaning “middle,” as it lies along the Tigris about midway between Baghdad and Basra. Its major cities include the capital, al-Kut, and al-Hayy. Prior to 1976 it was known as Kut Province. SH (P)/SR 1
