6 long-range rockets seized in Wassit

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi security forces seized six long-range rockets that were hidden underground at an area northeast of al-Kut city, a security source from Wassit province said on Friday. “The rockets were found at al-Sada al-Witriya area, 150 km northeast of Kut,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The operation was conducted based on intelligence tip-offs,” he said. He pointed out that the rockets are “newly made,” not giving further details. Kut, the capital city of Wassit province, lies 180 km southeast of Baghdad. MH (P)/AmR 1
