100 killed, wounded in Baghdad’s suicide blast

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A total of 35 persons were killed and 65 others were wounded in a suicide bombing that ripped through an Iraqi checkpoint in Baghdad’s al-Kadhemiya area earlier today, according to Baghdad’s Operation Command (BOC). Earlier today, a spokesperson for the command, Maj. Gen. Qassem Ata, said that a woman wearing an explosives belt blew herself up at a joint checkpoint set up by army and police personnel in Kadhemiya, northern Baghdad, leaving many persons killed or wounded.
