5 civilians injured in 6th explosion in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Five civilians were wounded on Monday in a car bomb explosion in southern Baghdad, the sixth to go off in the capital today amidst celebrations commemorating the Ashuraa Day, a police source said. “A car rigged with explosives went off in Abu Dashier region in southern Baghdad, injuring five civilians,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. He did not give further details. Security sources had said earlier that two people were killed and 22 others were wounded in five bomb explosions in separate areas of Baghdad in the past 24 hours.
