British, Italian companies invited to invest in Iraq

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi minister of oil has invited British and Italian companies to engage in investment activities in Iraq, according to a ministerial spokesperson. “On Sunday, Minister Hussein al-Shahrestani met separately in Baghdad with the British ambassador, Christopher Prentice, and the Italian ambassador, Maryso Melanie, to discuss means of cooperation,” Asem Jihad told IraqiNews.com news agency. The minister called on British and Italian firms to enter the Iraqi market and to contribute to the country’s reconstruction. SS (P) 1
