Demand for the dollar soars in CBI’s auction

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Demand for the dollar was significantly higher in the Central Bank of Iraq’s (CBI) auction on Monday, registering at $263.14 million at a stable exchange rate of 1,171 Iraqi dinars per dollar. “The demand hit $76.25 million in cash, covered by the bank at an exchange rate of 1,177 Iraqi dinars, and $186.89 million in foreign transfers outside the country covered by the bank at an exchange rate of 1,174 Iraqi dinars per dollar, according to a CBI news bulletin received by IraqiNews.com news agency.
