DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Seven al-Qaeda in Iraq members on Tuesday were arrested during a security operation in Diala province, according to a local police chief. “During a raid on AQI stronghold in Habhab district (12 km south of Khales), seven members of the organization were arrested,” Staff Maj. Gen. Abdelhussein al-Shamri told IraqiNews.com news agency. Diala province, a mix of Sunnis and Shiites, extends to the northeast of Baghdad as far as the Iranian border.
