Accusing IAF of sectarian quota system unfair – MP

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Lawmaker Harith al-Obaidi of the Iraqi Accord Front (IAF) Sunni parliamentary bloc on Thursday considered accusations against the IAF that it is seeking the sectarian quota system by insisting that the parliament’s speaker position were “unfair.” “All parliamentary blocs receive governmental and parliamentary posts relying on the quota system,” al-Obaidi told IraqiNews.com news agency. “If those blocs want to be fair, they should start with themselves by disregarding the quota system, before they ask the IAF to do so,” he added.
