23 killed, injured in acts of violence until Friday afternoon

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Two Iraqi soldiers were killed and 21 persons were wounded in acts of violence that took place in Basra and Mosul since 9:00pm n Thursday until Friday afternoon, security sources said. In Basra, a medical source at the al-Fayhaa hospital said that the hospital received 20 wounded persons. “Three Katyusha rockets launched by unknown people from Kut al-Hajaj region in central Basra, landed in al-Muwafaqiya region in western Basra on Thursday (Jan. 8),” a security source said.
