2 cops killed, 6 wounded in 2nd Baghdad blast

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Two policemen on Monday were killed or six persons were wounded in an explosive charge blast that ripped through downtown Baghdad, the second explosion to hit the capital today, according to the police. “Today, an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated near Kahramana Square, downtown Baghdad, killing two police personnel and wounding six others, including four cops,” a police source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Earlier today, a suicide bomber driving a car rigged with explosives blew himself up at the entrance of Baghdad al-Jadida market at a peak hour, killing four civilians and wounding six others.
