Soccer Federation cannot dismiss me – Coach Vieira

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Brazilian coach of the Iraqi soccer team, Jorvan Vieira, told al-Bayan daily issued in the United Arab Emirates that the Iraqi soccer federation cannot dismiss him, as the contract he has is with the Iraqi government and not the federation. “Before the 19 th Gulf tournament, I submitted my resignation, but the federation demanded that I stay,” he said. “I will not wait long to be dismissed, and I will submit my resignation immediately,” he added. “Why do they blame me, some players are undisciplined, and others are hard to deal with,” he noted. “I told them that I will not compliment any player on the account of my reputation and history,” he asserted. The Iraqi soccer team had an early departure from the competitions of the 19th Gulf tournament currently taking place in the Omani capital, Muscat, after losing two matches. MH (P)/SR 1
