Minister warns against anti-national unity media discourse

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The minister of culture in Iraq’s Kurdistan region, Falak al-Din Kakai, on Wednesday criticized media discourse, which he said promotes anti-national feelings. “Media personnel in particular should pay attention to the significant role of words at this stage,” Kakai told reporters in Arbil. Promoting negative national feelings will negatively influence the democratic process that it currently taking place in Iraq. “Political disputes between the Kurdistan region and the federal Iraqi government are normal and can happen in any country,” the minister added.
