Soon: Faw project to see light of day

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Italian companies are close to finishing the designs of Al-Faw al-Kabir Project at a total cost of over 4 billion Euros. “The project is wholly financed through an Italian donation,” an official spokesperson for the Iraqi Ministry of Transport, Sameer al-Shuwaili, told IraqiNews.com news agency. The Iraqi minister of transport, Aamer Abdeljabbar Ismail yesterday met with the Italian ambassador in Baghdad and discussed the project with him, the spokesperson added. “The project is one of the largest investment projects in the country… It will link Asia to Europe,” he added.
