4 IEDs defused in Missan

MISSAN / IraqiNews.com: Policemen in Missan defused four improvised explosive devices south of the city of al-Amara on Saturday, a police media source in the province said. “Personnel from the bomb squad department today (Jan. 17) defused a smart IED that had been planted near the tomb of Imam Abdullah bin Ali in Qalaat Saleh district, (45 km) south of Amara,” Col. Sadeq Sallam told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The personnel also defused three other IEDs near the Maribi bridge, (40 km) south of Amara,” he added.
