Deputy premier urges voters to keep order

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Deputy Prime Minister Rafie al-Issawi on Saturday called on voters to abide by the rules and to keep order during the upcoming provincial council elections, scheduled to take place on January 31. “Today, Issawi met in his Baghdad-based office with the commander of the U.S. forces in the northern area and his accompanying delegation,” according to a press release issued by Issawi’s media office and received by IraqiNews.com news agency. The two sides discussed the security measures that have been taken in the provinces of Ninewa, Kirkuk and Salah al-Din in preparation for the elections. SS (P) 1
