IED wounds 2 in southern Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Two persons on Monday were wounded when an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated near a checkpoint in southern Mosul city, according to a police source. “Today, an explosive charge went off near a police checkpoint in Dor al-Sawas area, southern Mosul, wounding a policeman and a civilian,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Meanwhile, Iraqi army forces defused two explosive charges in al-Masaref neighborhood, northern Mosul, without causing any damage,” the source added.
