Over 59,000 local observers, 14 intl. bodies to monitor elections

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: An estimated 59,842 local observers and 14 international bodies from the Arab League (AL), the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), and the European Union, in addition to 148,890 political bloc agents will monitor the provincial council elections, due to take place late this month across the country. “This Wednesday has been set for the weekly press conference by the commission,” the department of foreign media in the Independent High Electoral Committee (IHEC) said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency.
